Description / Contenu Understanding the mechanisms of reading on paper and on the screen• A speed and comprehension test to obtain your reading profile on paper and on the screen• The physical and mental process of reading on paper and on the screen according to scientific research : how the eyes function, the eye-brain connections, the widening of the field of vision, the similarities and differences of reading on paper and on the screen.• Experiencing the appropriate reflexes to go more quickly to what's essential : concentrating, selecting and memorising.Mastering the visual techniques on paper and on the screen with visual agility• The 3 types of sweep to be used according to the reader's objective and the support used.• Widening the field of vision to read at a "wide angle" both on paper and on the screen.• Developing flexibility and ways of relaxing the eyes.• Practising through a hundred or so exercises on paper and through individualised exercises on the screenIncreasing speed and comprehension using mental agility• The right reflexes for anticipating the content : expectations and objectives, reformulation using key words• Selection : the 3 levels of reading• Flexibility: choose the appropriate visual sweep and speed for the texts to be worked on• Concentration and attention: how to develop them through trainingProcessing information using the 4 reading strategies• Picking out precise information : searching on the screen or going through a pile of magazines or reviews.• Skimming the essential: pinpointing the main information in emails, memos, articles on Internet or on paper• Skimming through a long document to be able to summarise the main idea of 200 pages in one hour.• Going in-depth to dissect the difficult passages and to make sure you understand them.• Reading in a complementary way on paper and on the screen Objectif Pédagogique With Internet and Intranet the quantity of information to read on the screen increases every day. However, a lot of information is still distributed on paper and it is often necessary to print out what is on the screen.It is therefore essential to develop new skills to read on the screen and on paper:• adapt your speed and methods to the reading objective• get the gist of a text on paper and that of electronic documents• retain and recover information quickly from what's been read • double speed, comprehension and memorisation• reach a level of comfort for reading on paper or on the screenThis seminar uses the CELER method on paper and a computer programme "Celer method for screen reading" for which Centor Idep has the exclusive rights. The exercises used for practice constitute about 80% of the seminar and they are contained in a participant's file and on the computer programme "Reading on the screen" developed by expert consultants according to the latest research in the scientific field.Each participant has a PC at his/her disposal and each participant's progress on paper and on the screen is evaluated and continually adapted.In this way the participant can measure his/her progress.For each practice exercise, comprehension and retention of information is tested.Scores and results are continually analysed.A file of the contents is given to each participant along with the book by MJ.
