| The programme has been developed in a way so as to alternate case studies with role plays, input from the trainer and practical applications.The filming of various sequences of a meeting allows feedback to be given, which will bring out the strong points and the points which need to be improved.The trainer then introduces the tools and the techniques which enables the participant to practice and to improve.The seminar contents are presented in a file and given to each participant. |

| Preparing for a successful meeting• Defining the objectives.• Determining the agenda.• Preparing the timing to take into account the expectations of the different participants.• Taking into account the effect of cultural differences on the meeting and on the expectations.Opening a meeting• The first 3 minutes.• Creating a constructive climate.• Establishing the rules .Conducting a meeting• The role of the chairperson: facilitating, regulating, adjusting, getting participation ...• The attitudes for the chairperson to have.• Training in the techniques of reformulating, summarising.• Expressing your opinion while taking into account the cultural differences of the participants.Dealing with relations between participants• How to deal with participants' expectations.• Dealing with difficult attendees.• Adapting to unforeseen situations.• Smoothing cross-cultural differences.Concluding the meeting• The last 3 minutes.• Summary of decisions.• Setting up an effective follow-up. |
